This Family Programs event was held at the Central Rock Gym in Hadley on Jan. 16, 2016. The event was organized by Heather Wyman and supported by The Mountaineering Committee for belayers (Thanks, Ingrid and Chris!), as well as belayers Dana G. and Margo C. from Family Programs. Pizza was provided for lunch and the climbers were able to climb and scramble for a few hours. A fun time was had by all! Here are some photos from the event.
May 16-17, Sat-Sun, Introduction to Top Rope Rock Climbing: Basic Instruction in climbing, belaying and general safety. Come and have fun on the rocks! Discounted fee to AMC members.

On December 29th Family Outings went on a trip to Central Rock in Hadley. There were 42 people present from ages 4 and up. Three volunteers, Adam, Chris and Ingrid from the AMC assisted with bouldering and belaying, and pizza was provided afterwards. The family in the photos are the Stathatos' Family, Pete, Jen, Nick, Jack and PJ. The first picture is of Family Outings Chair Heather Wyman.
Our Mountaineering Committee organizes rock climbing (sport, traditional, and multi-pitch), plus the occasional ice climbing, indoor wall climbing, or backcountry skiing trip.
