More than 100 Participants Enjoy Nobel View Outdoor Center
The Outdoor Festival at Noble View Outdoor Center on Saturday, August 26 was a resounding success. More than 130 attendees enjoyed hiking, listening to the AEIOUkelele band, chowing down on great barbecued chicken and salads and being charmed by Herpetologist Thomas Tyning, Professor of Environmental Science at Berkshire Community College and author of Snakes in Western Massachusetts.
Thanks to Bess Dillman for leading the great team effort which included Andrea Minoff for publicity and check-in, Martin Mahoney for parking, Tricia O'Neil for checkin, Dave O'Leary for sound system pickup, set up, salad pickup and more, Peggy McLennan for cookie pickup, HeatherWyman for the scavenger hunt, Kathy Martin for coordinating the hikes, Paul Glazebrook for the fire, knots and camp demonstrations, Nate Cherniak, Noble View Manager Frank Evans and helpers for BBQ and much much more, Diane and Jeannie Jones for lunch setup, Elbert Bowler for all-around help, Joan Robb, Joe Massery, Joe Gelinas, Roxanne Suprina, and Grace Ferrante for miscellaneous help and to all who helped with setting up, leading hikes and cleaning up, and EVERYONE who had a part in the event and a special thanks to Jan Nettler, the chapter chair for all her help and input.
