Mountaineering

Anita on Beginner's Delight

Our Mountaineering Committee organizes rock climbing (sport, traditional, and multi-pitch), plus the occasional ice climbing, indoor wall climbing, or backcountry skiing trip.

We run trips all year. Some are day trips or after-work evening trips to local climbs, others are multi-day trips to more distant venues.

If you're in doubt about your qualifications for a particular trip or what equipment you might need, ask the listed trip leader. We do have club equipment.

To register for a weekend trip, please try to contact the leader by the prior Wednesday.

Summer is a Great Time to Get Outdoors

Check out AMC activities in Western Mass. This summer we are offering several series of hikes including the AT in Mass, Hiking Along Rivers, Easy Hikes in Northampton, and the weekly Tuesday hike. You can find both flat water and white water paddling events, bicycling, rock climbing, backpacking, and family programs. Don't miss out on these. This link will show you activities currently posted by the Berkshire Chapter:
