AMC Annual Meeting -- Distinguished Service Award
Ken and Bonnie Hargreaves — Members of AMC since 1992, Ken and Bonnie met on a Berkshire Chapter hike. Together, they are active in the Berkshire Chapter, President’s Society and on the Board of Advisors since 2001. 
They are dedicated to providing opportunities for underserved kids to experience the wonder of the outdoors and annually provide numerous scholarships to participants in AMC’s Teen Wilderness Adventures. They also sponsor entire classrooms of kids to participate in multi-day Mountain Classroom programs.
Ken and Bonnie are generous supporters of AMC’s Maine Woods Initiative and encouraged (and gently pushed) our Highland Center construction team to create rooms for people with chemical sensitivities. Ken and Bonnie provided the funds to construct the four “green” rooms at the Highland Center including a shared room that kids with sensitivities can stay in. Ken and Bonnie have been extraordinarily generous to AMC with their time, advice, and financial and emotional support.
